The time of waiting…

  Of a fact
I know not what I write
Whether it be poetry, prose or an epistle
Knowledge assures I get these ponders out
And on this white background i choose.
As youths we have vibrancy, strength, vision as qualities. We have dreams and they are good. God created us that way, to want to do things, to have desires. After He created us, He looked at us and declared that we are GOOD. We all are passionate about a lot of MAYBE in common things, you know!

  •            The desire to get things done as quick as possible
  •            The desire to be the youngest to achieve that dream
  •            The desire to graduate as a teenager
  •            The desire to change our world
  •            The desire to immortalise our impacts
  •           The desire to be better than our parents at ALL cost
  •           The desire to be “Dr Faustus”
Wanna know what God thinks about these things?, He thinks they are GOOD.  All the same, check out Proverbs 19:2. It says, ‘Desire without knowledge is not good, how much more will a hasty feet miss the way’. He says ‘For which of you desiring to build a tower, does not first SIT DOWN and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Luke 14:28. The problem however is, most of us, having caught a glimpse of our tower, its magnificence, its height we get too overwhelmed to sit down even more impatient to think of a cost. It’s nonetheless an established fact that there is a “seat”, a couple of lessons and tips set on the table, only for those brave and calm enough to discover it… for those trusting enough to go through the “long process” assured that He that has started the good work is able to complete it! There is ALWAYS such place as “a place of SITTING”. Let me explain…
  •          The place of sitting is a place of eating
(For Elijah, it was a time of waiting to “eat for the journey is far” 1 Kings 19)
  •          The place of sitting is a place of waiting
(For Saul, a time of waiting for Samuel before making sacrifices unto God, he violated this, and it cost him his kingdom 1 Sam 15)
  •          The place of sitting is a place of searching (Matt 7:7)
  •          The place of sitting is a place of instruction
I must confess, it’s actually not so easy to wait especially when you think you know where you’re headed already. However, there is a lot more to discover while waiting than rushing to get THERE already. Funny enough, the things you learn while waiting will make you relevant THERE. As I minister to you, I minister to myself. So what do I say; SIT DOWN, fasten your seat-belts, learn from the experiences, and enjoy the ride. Pilot Jesus says, one thing is certain,YOU WILL GET THERE EVENTUALLY…
