Yolanda Adams: “Sunday Best Was On Hold Because of Kirk Franklin”

Sunday Best will be back in 2017. Yolanda Adams confirms the show has not been canceled, but it went on break.

For a moment, I thought The Sunday Best All Stars (Season 8) was going to be the final season of the show. Reason because, the  gospel music singing competition series has been on hold this year with no reason from the host or the organizers. Yolanda Adams, a judge on the show explains that the show went on break due to Kirk Franklin’s busy schedule. Kirk Franklin has been the host of the “institutional” show since its inception.
She revealed this on the red carpet of BMI R&B Hip Hop Awards
We have not cancelled so thank the Lord for that…..just delayed” she stated.
Sunday Best is currently the best Gospel Music talent hunt show in America, it has produced top gospel icons such as Tasha Page-Lockhart, Le-Andria Johnson, Joshua Rodgers, Amber Bullock, Y’Anna Crawley, Crystal Aikin, Geoffrey Golden, and most recently, Dathan Thigpen the Season 8 (Sunday Best All-Star) winner.
In addition to Kirk Franklin as the host of the show, current judges include Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard and Yolanda Adams.
